Converted Organics (COIN) – Bitcoin collapses, taking other cryptocurrencies with it

After reaching a record a few days ago, Bitcoin is colliding with other popular cryptocurrencies. Here are some latest numbers:

  • The World’s Largest Cryptocurrency, Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) fell about 9% in the last 24 hours to $ 55,268 at the time of publication, according to CoinMarketCap.
  • Just like that Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) has dropped almost 12% since publication time to $ 2,110.
  • According to Bloomberg, the crypto-markets are stumbling amid rumors that the US Treasury Department could take action against financial institutions due to money laundering.
  • Simple profit-taking probably also plays a role, given the highs that followed the listing of Coinbase Global Inc. (NASDAQ: COIN) last week. Bitcoin broke past $ 64,000 on Wednesday, the day of the listing of Coinbase.
  • Dogecoin is also below its record high of around 44 cents on Friday, and now stands at $ 0.303 from publication time, although it has recovered in the last 24 hours.
  • The drop also comes after news that Coinbase insiders are selling shares after Wednesday’s listing.
