Dozens of elderly people who arrived in Framingham on Saturday to receive their first dose of coronavirus vaccine had an unexpected problem.
The vaccination clinic offered at Joseph P. Keefe High School is only open to city residents, but the state’s online scheduling system still allowed people from other communities – as well as people under the age of 75 – to apply for a appointment appointment.
Despite filling out the registration forms by hand, the elderly who did not live in Framingham were told they were unable to receive the dose and that their appointment had already been canceled, according to the mayor’s office.
