Concept introduces Apple’s hardware crypto wallet with Apple Card integration

A new concept from Antonio De Rosa introduces an Apple hardware cryptocurrency wallet, complete with Apple Card integration.

One element of the concept is quite far-fetched – the idea that you can exploit a significant amount of crypto on a Mac – but the cold wallet concept is interesting, and I feel it’s an area where Apple can make a real difference …

At the heart of the concept is a cute Apple hardware wallet with Touch Bar-like touch screen and a Touch ID sensor.

De Rosa sees it integrated with the Apple Card, so your crypto balances are visible in Apple Wallet and can be spent on the card.

The concept also suggests the ability to transfer crypto between individuals.

The hardware key is also shown as monitoring crypto mining by Macs or other Apple devices. This is not realistic these days, given the enormous processing power required to earn a return. Only dedicated mining tools or large networks stand a chance today.

But the core concept of Apple creating a cold wallet for crypto finds me interesting. Even many technicians are concerned about the risks of losing or stealing currencies, so a hardware wallet is a good approach, and Apple has the necessary confidence. Indeed, the Cupertino company may even do its own crypto-currency exchange. With Apple branding and marketing, it can turn crypto from a somewhat nasty phenomenon into something that ordinary consumers can adopt.

Look at the rest of the concept here.

What is your opinion on the core idea of an Apple crypto wallet? And is crypto an area that Apple needs to enter? Please share your thoughts in the comments.

De Rosa recently made versions of the rumored Apple VR headset. It is based on a drawing that he says is based on a prototype device seen The information.
