Indianapolis Colts linebacker Darius Leonard had poignant words for the upcoming NFL draft class on Wednesday.
Leonard, the 2018 Associated Press Defensive Player of the Year, said the incoming rookies should let their game speak for itself and warned if they do not live up to their own hype, it will come back to haunt them.

“This concept class speaks to me too much! Let your work cause the conversation if you do it all with the media or on social media and you do not perform as you expect these media men to use it. Against you! Shut up! and grind! That’s it! “he wrote.

The Colts selected Leonard from the state of South Carolina in the second round of the 2018 draft and he immediately made an impact.
In three seasons, Leonard has twice been an All-Pro and Pro Bowl pick. He led the league in total offense (163) during his first season in the NFL. He has scored 416 total tackles, seven interceptions, 15 sacks and nine forced fumbles since stepping on an NFL field.
The spotlight shone brightly on the incoming concept class.

Former Alabama’s Najee Harris made ESPN’s Todd McShay a critical analysis of the player. Harris scored 43 receptions for 425 yards and four counts as a reception hazard for the Crimson Tide in 2020. He also added 1,466 chase spots and 26 rushing additions.
