The Coast Guard received a report on Tuesday that the 29-foot blue and white Mako Cuddy Cabin boat, which was last known to leave Bimini in the Bahamas on Monday, according to the Coast Guard’s news release not as expected in Lake Worth, Florida, did not arrive. .
Ships and aircraft of the U.S. Air Force, the Coast Guard, the Bahamas Army and a group of volunteers in the Bahamas searched about 84 hours of square kilometers, the release said.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the missing people,” said Capt. Stephen V. Burdian, the Seventh District Chief of the Coast Guard, said. “I encourage anyone with information about the people on board to contact us as soon as possible.”
The Coast Guard did not disclose the name of the missing vessel.
