The U.S. Coast Guard has announced the recovery of two more bodies from a boat disaster in the Gulf of Mexico.
The Seacor Power, a 129-foot commercial ship, capsized during a severe storm Tuesday afternoon, trapping 19 people underwater off the coast of Louisiana.
Six crew members were rescued Tuesday, but after three days, the rescue effort turned into a recovery effort. Two bodies were recovered by Thursday, and two were found Friday. announced the USCG.
Officials have identified two of the recovered crew members as Earnest Williams (69) and David Ledet, the 63-year-old captain, FOX 8 reports.

The Coast Guard will not disclose the identities of the recently restored crew members out of respect for the families.
“Our deepest sympathies go out to the family, friends and loved ones of all who were involved in this tragic incident,” said Capt. Will Orseans, commander of the Coast Guard sector, said New Orleans. “We use every asset at our disposal to continue our search efforts.”

The Seacor Power capsized about 13 miles from Port Fourchon. The elevator was on its way to deliver equipment to an oil platform near the mouth of the Mississippi River when it encountered tropical storms and ‘suddenly higher waves’.
Seacor contracted contractors with divers to help with the recovery efforts and worked 24 hours a day to locate the missing crew members, reports The Advocate.

Dangerous weather conditions hampered rescue efforts, and divers are regularly forced to halt operations.
One of the crew members recovered was found 33 km from the disaster area. An air crew spotted the body Thursday night and a Coast Guard boat was deployed Friday morning.
“Now 68 hours in,” Spencer Gremillion, a friend of some crew members, wrote on Facebook. “The weather conditions were still rough, but they were able to walk in line with numerous access points. They still have to go inside the boat. We are unsure why there is nothing more to be done.”
