CNN, MSNBC erupt over Trump’s ramp – but virtually ignore Biden’s stumbling block

After CNN and MSNBC sounded the alarm on Friday about the use of a driveway at the U.S. Military Academy during the 2020 presidential election, both CNN and MSNBC virtually ignored the intense fall of President Biden on Friday as they climbed the stairs on Air Force One .

Biden fell three separate times when he boarded the presidential plane for a trip to Atlanta. The White House later issued a statement saying he was fine and suggested the ‘wind’ at Andrews in Maryland was to blame for the ordeal.

According to Grabien transcripts, CNN spent just 15 seconds on how Biden ‘struggled to find his foot’ on the ‘windy’ morning and how he ‘left the plane with ease’ on his arrival in Atlanta.

FEEDBACK: COMMANDED FALL reminds me of media hysteria as the pet slowly descends

This pales in comparison to the huge 22 minutes and 13 seconds that CNN devoted to the driveway Trump used when he spoke at the inaugural event of West Point in June 2020, which sparked speculation of a decline in health, according to a study by NewsBusters.

While MSNBC spent about a minute on Biden’s incident, the liberal network was much more sympathetic to the Democrat than it was to Trump.

Anuck “Meet The Press,” Chuck Todd, asked Nica News correspondent Monica Alba if Biden was doing “OK.” Alba responded by calling the fall a “human moment that happened to a man who is, of course, the president of the United States.”

“We all ran up stairs and had that moment ourselves,” Todd said. “And if you did not do it, you are not human.”

REPORTERS SPECULATE ON TRUMP’S HEALTH AFTER HIS SLOW WALK FROM THE ROAD POINT

MSNBC’s 28 minutes and 42 seconds based on Trump’s ramp consumption – as counted by NewsBusters – were far less charitable, with many hosts and guests also speculating that the Republican was fit to serve.

Critics on Twitter also pointed to the shocking differences in coverage of The New York Times and The Washington Post.

The Times ran “Trump’s Halting Walk Down Ramp Raises New Health Questions” for its headline in 2020, but said Friday: “Biden does ‘100 percent fine’ after stumbling while on board Air Force One.”

The Post, meanwhile, is running with ‘Trump is trying to explain his slow and unstable run at a driveway at West Point’ last year, while simply stomping on Friday’s Bum stumbling block on Air Force One.
