FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Clouds are forecast tonight in front of some light snowflakes that will develop around midnight. Light breeze will linger in the morning hours on Sunday. Unfortunately, the clouds will still remain in place as the flags subside.
However, the most important weather system this week is a low point that moves through the region Monday to Tuesday. This system brings significant snowfall in the region, with the heaviest Tuesday morning until about noon. By the time everything is ready and done, we can see a double-digit snowfall! We are overseeing subtle shifts in this system as it could cause warmer air to rise to the Southern Tier, which will destroy snow totals as more ice interferes.
There is also the possibility of another storm Thursday to Friday, but it currently looks like a mixed bag of precipitation.
