Classic GTA protagonists get modern 3D Makeover by artist

3D artist Hossein Diba used Zbrush and Marmoset to give four iconic Grand Theft Auto protagonists and cover girl the ultimate 3D makeover.

Parent car theft titles ‘stars have received major graphic upgrades thanks to a dedicated 3D artist who has taken protagonists from four of the series’ best-known titles and brought their signature to the ninth generation. Grand Theft Auto IIIsee Claude, GTA IVsee Niko Bellic, Onderstadsee Tommy Vercetti, and San andreas‘CJ plays everyone in car theft entries released in the early 2000s over a period of seven years, widely regarded as some of the greatest sandbox games ever made. Since Rockstar does not have new entries in the series as before, largely due to the more intensive production required for large-scale open-world games with the kind of graphic detail that current players expect, these four remain one of the most iconic playable characters in the series. To that end, given the graphical inferiority of the older 3D car theft titles compared to like GTA V, 3D artist Hossein Diba took Claude, Niko, Tommy and CJ and gave them a delightfully detailed and extremely realistic refurbishment, which he posted on his ArtStation account for all to see. As a bonus, Diba also delivered GTA San Andreas iconic loading screen and subject art model in the same 3D style.

Diba’s ArtStation site also features photos from different angles and perspectives, and provides a more complete picture of how much work and detail goes into each, from lashes to skin texture, thanks to ZBrush, Marmoset Toolbag and Diba’s own artistic artist. eye. Diba is certainly not the first 3D artist to undergo less graphic-detailed characters, as other artists have done the same for games such as Between us, but his work on these extremely realistic human characters certainly has the admiration of car theft fans.

While Grand Theft Auto VI is for the time being even more of a dream than hopeful reality, artists like Diba give a look at what players can visually expect if Rockstar Games were to return to its golden years.
