City of Moorhead implementing power outages

MOORHEAD, MINN. (Valley News Live) – People in Moorhead will deal with the side effects of a strained power system after the city implements a power barrier.

The city says the eclipses will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 16th. The suspects will last about 30 minutes and will take place until further notice from the city.

Southwest Power Pool (SPP) has ordered the power outages to try to save energy as much of the country is dealing with strange weather.

SPP says if it does not do power outages across the network, it could lead to uncontrolled outages of greater magnitude. A check on the SPP website shows that it has services in 14 states, including Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana, to name just a few.
