Two decades after filming Amores perros af Ciudad de México, una de las peliculas que marco un antes y un despuets in la historia del cine mexicano que que catapultó a su director al cine internacional, Alejandro González Iñárritu ha regresado con su cámara a la ciudad ha la 57 nació. It’s currently filming in the capital of the country on its new largometry, titularly titled Limbo.

Although Iñárritu and his team are completely hermetic in the subject of the film and the filmmaking process – it is said that it is a movie with a political impact based on the 80s, that many people have led the game and Iñárritu the patient his team has entered into a confidentiality agreement in order to be able to filter information to the press – it has difficult secrets to guard in the cinema when it is filmed in competitive and emblematic booths of the capital, such as Isabel la Catholica, in the historic center .

The director chooses for his new project the key cities of the city like the square of Zócalo or the Castle of Chapultepec. The youngsters, the patients of the center are met with dozens of extra songs about the voice and observed by the protagonist of the movie, the actor Daniel Giménez Cacho – who worked with the other great men of Mexican cinema, like Alfonso Cuarón and Guillermo , and most recently af Chicuarotes, directed by Gael García Bernal, who as a world famous actor to protagonize Amores Perros.

“Hubo desde chicas punk (con el cabello verde o naranja) hasta constructor con casco, stuentiantes, officinistas en traje, danzantes dhispánicos y hasta un algodonero”, writes the diary Reform about the extras of Iñárritu in the filming of Wednesday schools. “Casi at the moment, the director of postage stamps, even though he is alone, he only returns when the key and the grit of” action! ”.

The procession of juveniles in the center, in the center of Madero, would find a cadre of manly variants that enforce the transitions. “Ustedes y sus pinches peliculitas que n piensan en la gente”, dijo una transeúnte al diario El Universal, molesta by the call blocks. Another crossing was detained while the roadblocks were cleared, and one of the security guards rushed to safety.

Days ahead of the filming, the Zócalo apagó the public alumni of the Palacio Nacional, governing editions of the Templo Mayor, by petition of the company Limbo Films and with authorization from the Filión de Filaciones de la Ciudad de México. The Metro transport is close to a Zócalo station. After a year in which the pandemic broke during multiple filming projects in the City of Mexico, the city is now and at least five more months away from the road Limbo, depending on whether the center of the city will be the home of one of its most sought after directors.

Alejandro González Iñárritu, one of the three Mexican directors most recognizable on an international scale, celebrated in the finals of the anniversary of the movie that catapulted the family and, paradoxically, the ale of the Mexican sets: Amores perros, which was completed 20 years ago by its star in the year 2000. “This movie made me change my life, I had an ant and a despute”, said the filmmaker at the commencement of the Morelia Film Festival, in October, presenting a version restaurant. Despoés de eso vinieron para él Babel (Grabada in Mexico, United States and Japan), Biutiful (actor Javier Bardem in Spain), Birdman (in New York Calls, with which he won an Oscar for Best Movie), and The Revenant (with Leonardo Di Caprio, que le hizo ganar otro Oscar ‘n meerdere regisseur).

Ahora vuelve a México con una pelicula en español, y con un deslumbrante mexicano team. In the project Limbo Tita Lombardo is also the producer, who was part of the team of Amores perros y Babel, and the art director Eugenio Caballero (winner of an Oscar for his work in the Laberinto del Fauno of Guillermo del Toro, and who also works in Rome, de Cuarón).

At the Morelia festival, without mentioning his name, the director made some comments criticizing the reports of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador in the cultural sector. Habló de “do not claudicar in the middle of these circumcisions [de la pandemia], with little support from the governors ”. At the moment, the report is full of various allegations that the Governor should cancel, including those that support filmmakers. “A country without a city is a city,” said the director. A country that will soon be new in the spring of Iñárritu.
