Cine – Colonial City: New Cinematographic Destination of the Region

The Alcaldesa of the National District, Carolina Mejía, received the North American actor Mark Wahlberg and part of the production team of the film “Arthur The King”, which is currently being published in the Dominican Republic.

“There should be an enthusiastic welcome to this vibrant cinematographic destination full of color, elegance and sea,” said Mejía, to visitors to the Consistory Palace located in the Colonial City.

Nacido in Boston, 49 years old, Wahlberg, was accompanied by the director of the mentioned film, Simon Cellan Jones, as well as executives of the producers EOne, Lantica Media, as well as the film 203.

Mejía approves the opportunity to recalculate the importance that Dominican Republic has as an ideal space for international production routes. “We’ll be positioning our city as a destination for the cinematographic and aggravating industry one more time for electives,” said Alcaldesa to the invited guests.

“Arthur the King”, which is staged in screenplays of Samaná and Santo Domingo, is based on real heroes from the Swedish team that participated in the Aventura Huairasinchi World Cup (World Huirasinchi Explorer) in Ecuador in 2014.
