Cincinnati Bengals Hire Frank Pollack as Offensive Line Coach and Coordinator

The Bengals today appointed Frank Pollack as the team’s attacking line coach and management coordinator. Pollack (53) was previously the Bengals attacking line coach in 2018, before spending the past two seasons (’19 -20) with the NY Jets.

Directed by Pollack in 2018, Cincinnati’s offensive line finished 11th in the NFL in the fewest pockets allowed per game (2.3), while also paving the way for HB Joe Mixon to career highs in running yards (1168) , average meters per attempt (4.9) and chasing TDs (eight).

“Frank will help us make great progress with the run and protection,” said head coach Zac Taylor. “He has good technical skills in player development, and his familiarity with some of our current attacking lineouts will be able to put him to work immediately. We interviewed several strong candidates to achieve the best outcome for our team. “I’m excited about the experience that Frank’s offends us.”

“Coach Pollack is a high energy guy and we’m excited to be working with him again,” said C Trey Hopkins. “We know what kind of work he expects and what results we can achieve. He demands a lot and is very clear with his instructions. He is an excellent coach to play for.”

“I’m very excited that Coach Pollack is back,” Mixon said. “He has proven to be the best in the business. There are a lot of records to be broken. I look forward to getting back on the field and getting to work.”

Pollack replaces Jim Turner, who served as Cincinnati’s attacking line coach from 2019-20.
