Cibao Airport installs charging stations for free electric vehicles – Periodic El Caribe

SANTIAGO.- In addition to the sustainability and mobility, the Cibao International Airport announces the installation of cargo stations for electric vehicles in its air terminal.

With this new initiative, the Cibao Airport will provide energy to its users while hoping for their families, as well as conductors who are in need of recharging their fast and convenient cars, completely free of charge.

Teófilo Gómez, Administrator-General of the Cibaña Terminal, stated that “Proportionate to its users load with limp energy, proceeds from the photovoltaic plant”.

“By enabling the application of sustainable actions with a better environment, we understand that electric mobility is a way of guaranteeing the sustainability of transport in the future,” Gómez said.

With the installation of this loading bay, the AIC ratifies its compromise on sustainability and offers innovative solutions for its users and includes the facilities that brindans use when visiting.

The carriers are located in front of the parks 24 hours a day in the Este del Aeropuerto section, so that users can contact Customer Service at 809-275-8001.

It is noted that Cibao Airport is a pioneer in the inversion of the ambience of Medio Ambiente, with the installation of the first solar plant in the year 2012 of 1.5 megavatios and doubling its capacity in the year 2017, as well as in the program of Reduction of Carbon dioxide emissions living up to the ACILAC International Airport Council.

As part of its ambient policy and compromise with a Sustainable Ambient Medium, it installs batteries for energy accumulation, uses light gels and inverted air all over the terminal.
