Top Senate Democrat Chuck Schumer on Thursday called for a day for President Donald Trump to be removed, a day after a mob incited by the president dominated the Capitol when lawmakers ousted President-elect Joe Biden’s achieved presidential victory.

“What happened at the U.S. Capitol yesterday was an uprising against the United States, incited by the president. This president should not hold office for another day,” the New York Democrat said in a statement.

“The quickest and most effective way – it can be done today – to remove this president from office would be for the vice president to immediately remove the 25de amendment, “he continues.” If the vice president and the cabinet refuse to stand up, Congress should meet again to accuse the president. “

Biden becomes president on January 20 after Trump months of conspiracy theories that widespread electoral fraud cost him a second term in office.
