Chuck Norris weighs in on US Capitol riot after a photo goes viral

Chuck Norris speaks out over the deadly last week riot at the US Capitol after a photo of a man in DC who looks like the actor started trending online.

“It was not me and I was not there,” Norris tweeted Tuesday night. “There is no room for violence of any kind in our society. I am and always will be for Law and Order.”

“Chuck stays on his series in Texas where he was with his family,” Norris manager Erik Kritzer told The Associated Press earlier. He admitted that the photographed man looked somewhat like Norris, but “Chuck is much prettier.”

At least one observer has already noticed that the man in DC has a different eye color than the famous actor.

“I do not think he is it,” read the tweet. “Chuck Norris has blue eyes, this guy has dark brown eyes.”

‘Walker, Texas Ranger’, in which Norris played karate kick legislator Cordell Walker, aired on CBS from 1993 to 2001. In 2016, he announced his support for President Donald Trump.
