Teigen replied that she was ‘4 weeks sober’, along with a stream of heart and prayer emojis and received a number of congratulations from her fans.
Teigen has struggled with alcohol in the past and Cosmopolitan said in 2017 that she was a ‘point of empty thing, just drank too much’ during part of her career.
“I got used to hair and makeup and drank a glass of wine. Then the glass of wine would be handed over to me before the awards. And then a bunch at the awards,” she said.
“You feel awful. It’s not good for me, for John, for anyone,” she added, referring to her husband, musician John Legend.
In October, the couple announced that they had lost their child due to pregnancy complications.
“We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you just hear, the kind of pain we have never felt before,” they said in a statement posted on each of their Twitter accounts.
“I do not tweet much because I am honestly in a bit of a depressed hole, but do not worry because I have so much help to get better and I will recover soon,” she wrote.
