Chrissy Teigen reveals what inspired her to become sober

Chrissy Teigen, who recently spoke out about her sobriety, decided on social media on Wednesday to explain her decision to stop drinking.

In one of her latest Instagram posts, model and cookbook author recommends Holly Whitaker’s self-help book, “Quit Like a Woman: The Radical Choice to Not Drink in a Culture Obsessed With Alcohol,” and reveals about her drinking habits in the past.

” A month ago, on my birthday, I got this book from my doctor and friend, ” Teigen wrote a photo of the book in her Instagram story.

‘I was done making myself in front of people (I’m still embarrassed), tired of daytime drinking and feeling like s – at 6, unable to sleep. I’ve been sober ever since and even if you can not see that you do or just do not want to, it’s still an amazing read. ‘

Teigen briefly mentioned in a video earlier this month in some glittering accessories with makeup and matching candles with her and John Legend’s daughter, Luna, that she had stopped drinking.

“Merry Christmas!” she wrote. ‘I’m trying to find out if my love for face crystals is a phase of sobriety or a lifestyle. Crystals and no makeup is an atmosphere, and I officially announce it as my atmosphere. daily post, please make it a top news report. Chrissy says crystals … are an atmosphere. ‘

The writer “Cravings”, known for documenting much of her life online, was particularly open about her struggle. In September, Teigen revealed that she had endured a loss of pregnancy in a heartbreaking post that attracted the attention and admiration of many.

Her emotional rendition of the loss prompted others to bring up their own stories of grief and healing, culminating in a powerful essay by Teigen.

“The worst thing is to know that there are so many women who will not get these strange moments of joy,” she wrote in Medium in October. ‘I beg you to please share your stories and to be kind to those who are pouring out their hearts. Be generally kind, because some will not pour it out at all. ”

“I have been CONCERNED for years by the overwhelming need to explain why I do what I do, why I did [what] I have, ”she continued on Twitter. “NOTHING ANYMORE. I’m going to do the s doooooo – I doooooo and you can go about it.”

“(Note: I will still explain how to cook things),” she added.
