Kevin Durant singled out the defeat against the 76ers on Wednesday, a defeat that could ultimately cost the Nets home field advantage, and Chris ‘Mad Dog’ Russo had a big problem with the decision.
The former WFAN talk show host, who now works for SiriusXM, tore the Nets and their star forward because he skipped the showdown, though Durant has just returned from a hamstring injury that cost him nearly two months.
‘Let’s go tell [former Knicks coach] Pat Riley, ‘Hey Pat, no [Patrick] Ewing tonight. I know you play the Bulls and [Michael] Jordan, but Ewing is going to pass because his knees hurt, ” Russo said hyperbolically. ‘There was a lot in a locker room one night when Ewing had to ice his knees and talk to the media. … Every game sits there with his ice on his knees, and he plays night after night after night after night after night! His ass played off! Night after night! … And I’ll tell you something now, Ewing wanted to play! ”
He then trained other players from previous times who would not miss a game, such as Jordan or Paul Silas or John Havlicek.
‘Twice the player who’s one of these guys. It makes me sick, ”Russo said. What about the freaking Durant saying, ‘I’m playing! Get the hell out of here! ‘”
Russo also threw up Durant for his Instagram feud with actor Michael Rapaport.
‘Instead of fighting Michael Rapaport, how about Durant telling freaking? [Steve] Nash and his freaking owner, who paid him $ 40 million, and his GM [Sean] Marks, who freak out the [Gregg] Popovich School, how about Durant just saying, ‘give me the freaking uniform, I’m playing tonight,’ ‘he said.
