Beijing, 05/01/2021 (El Pueblo en Línea) –China is accelerating the development of new medicines based on Chinese traditional medicine (MTC) that it has demonstrated efficiencies in treatment against COVID-19, informs the National Administration of Traditional Medicine China.
Mientras tanto, has been more involved in the scientific investigation for the development of the MTC, which has traditionally been based on the practical experience to promote his reconciliation throughout the world.
To accelerate the availability of new medicines against COVID-19, MTC investigators intensified their efforts, including the analysis of data collected during the use of MTC receipts in the treatment of patients throughout China.
It has also been working on the National Administration of Medical Products to facilitate the approval procedures for TCM medicines based on existing prescriptions. In this sense, a special evaluation committee for first-level and professional academics of the MTC will be created.
Some MTC prescriptions have been developed as part of the emergency response, just after the outbreak of the epidemic in China, have been used extensively and with effective promotion.
It is hoped that demonstrations will improve the conditions of patients COVID-19, the Qingfei Paidu Tang – one of the prescriptions that are based on a series of treatments of MTC classic to date of 20 . C.-220) – has been used since February in 28 provincial level regions.
Many other medicines and recipes MTC also used together with modern medicine to treat patients with COVID-19. More than 92 per cent of Chinese patients confirmed to be using MTC, indicating a blank book published in June by the Central Government. Asimismo, more than 90 per cent of patients receiving treatment with MTC in the province of Hubei, China’s most affected zone, increased its health.

Debt to the MTC global demand, intensify efforts to promote its internationalization, including the scientific investigation paper in the development of the MTC.
“This medicine is based on the scientific evidence that can help to deepen the nature and efficacy of the MTC. In this way, the international community must have a greater understanding and recognition of the MTC,” the National Medicines Administration said.
As a next step, we will focus on the national institutions to intensify the research using point technologies and to advance advances will increase the cooperation with the main foreign institutions.
Song Ruilin, President of the China Association of Pharmaceutical Innovation and Development Research, considers that although the MTC is based on practical experience, its classic theories require the sufficient scientific evidence to demonstrate its efficacy. Com
“Without adequate data from clinical trials, it will be difficult for the MTC to be fully reconciled around the world,” Song concluded.
