“My heart goes out to everyone involved in the crash, especially the family with the little girl who is fighting for her life,” Reid said via ESPN. “I can not comment on it any more than I am here. The questions you have I will have to reject; but only from a human point of view my heart bleeds for all who are involved.”

Reid was also asked if the accident was a distraction.

“We posted the game plan last week. The distraction was not a distraction as far as the game plan is concerned. It was already in and how we are going to work with it and move forward,” he added. “From a human point of view, it’s a difficult point of view. From a football point of view, I do not think it was a problem.”

FAMILY OF FALL CAPITOLE POLICE OFFICER BRIAN SICKNICK, THREE OTHER FIRST AT SUPER BOWL LV: REPORTS

A family member of the young girl, who was identified in a GoFundMe as Ariel, gave the news days after Britt Reid was involved in a multicar accident. Two children were injured in the wreckage that took place near Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday night, but it was the five-year-old who was left with serious injuries.

“Ariel, 5 years old, has swelled and bled in and around the brain. She is in a critical condition and has not woken up since the accident,” reads the GoFundMe page.

“Ariel will be in the hospital in the foreseeable future, it’s set up for the hospital bills and weeks of missed work that will come. No child deserves it to go through, nor should any mother see her child like that.”

The fund was set up to cover medical expenses and has raised nearly $ 150,000 since Sunday.

Reid, 35, was investigated for driving a disabled person in Kansas City, Massachusetts, after police said he was involved in a car accident near Arrowhead Stadium, FOX4 KC reported.

The station obtained police documents that matched the details of the accident. According to the documents, Reid told police he was driving a pickup truck involved in the crash and told an officer he drank between two and three drinks and was on prescription for Adderall. The station reported that no names were identified in the police report.

According to FOX4 KC, the crash occurred near the southern ramp of I-435. Police stopped a car driver in a Chevrolet Impala and called for help on the driveway. According to the police report, the hazard lights flashed, but the car’s battery started to run low when a family arrived in a Chevrolet Traverse and parked with their headlights near them.

The station reported, referring to the accident documents, that a white Dodge pickup truck was driving south on the driveway to reach the interstate when the driver hit the Impala and hit the Traverse from behind.

The Impala driver was in the car at the time of the accident and according to the station also did not injure two adults in the Traverse.

Reid does not appear to have been injured in the crash.
