The driver of a South Carolina Chick-fil-A was recruited to help ease traffic at a local drive-in vaccination COVID-19 website that experienced an hour-long delay due to a software error.
Mount Pleasant Mayor Will Haynie sought the “professional driving experience” of the fast food manager to give a clue last Friday at a vaccination site at Seacoast Church, Fox 13 reported.
“Chic Fil is a manager, Jerry Walkowiak, who is donating his professional driving experience to help our vaccination program in Mt Pleasant today. If you need help, call the benefits,” the mayor said. tweeted.
A video posted by Haynie shows Walkowiak directing traffic and asking if occupants of vehicles have their paperwork.
Walkowiak managed to reduce the waiting time to 15 minutes, the mayor told the news office.
