Check out this beautiful FPV drone short film in a busy bowling alley

It’s been a while since most of us could go to a bowling alley, but ‘Right Up Our Alley’ is a new drone video that may be the next best thing, thanks to an amazing display of camera work and drone launching skill, via Kottke.

The video, from YouTuber jaybyrd movies, does not contain too much detail, except that it was shot at Bryant Lake Bowl in Minneapolis and recorded with an FPV drone. But the footage speaks for itself.

Initially, it gives the impression of a standard drone flight, with a view of the building itself. But things move quickly as the pilot carefully flips the drone within the open door of the bowling alley, maneuvering past eaters and waiting bowlers before swinging down the track itself along a spinning bowling ball. During the short cut, the pilot manages to fly the drone back behind the pin setting machines, down a narrow aisle of tools and parts, behind the beam, and even into the pins for a perfect stroke.

The short film sale is the perfect dialogue of bowlers, customers and the environmental noise of the street itself, giving the illusion of actually floating down the aisle as your conversation pieces float past.

Aspiring pilots might just want to enjoy this from a distance. However, unless you’re an expert drone pilot yourself, you may not want to risk a new $ 1,299 DJI FPV drone to recreate the movie in your own bowling alley.
