These are the little touches that separate a great app from an amazing app. Paying attention to how UI elements affect each other may not seem important, but it can help a lot to improve the end-user experience. Google has added some beautiful new animations to this in its Gmail app on Android, which makes managing your email feel much smoother.

New animated icons appear from the latest version of Gmail when you archive, delete, move, snooze, or mark a message read. Depending on your gesture, a trash can is closed, an envelope is opened or a file is moved. This blossom is on top of the alternate colors assigned to each action, giving an extra context to a given sliding finger. While it is undoubtedly a small touch, it seems weaker to delete or archive an email address.

As always, the gestures that appear on your phone will depend on the scrolling actions you have selected in the app’s settings menu. To see the new animations on Android, you must use version 2021.03.07 or later. You can update the app on your phone in the Play Store or get the latest version of APK Mirror.
