Chase Elliott starts from the back of the field for the 2021 Busch Clash (19:00 ET on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) due to unapproved adjustments on the 9 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet.

NASCAR officials made the announcement about an hour before the show began. The NASCAR Cup Series champion in 2020 was expected to start in seventh place after the drivers’ crew chiefs pulled virtually randomly on Monday night.
Tuesday night’s non-point race on the Daytona International Speedway Road Course begins the 2021 season, as 21 riders will race for 35 laps, with one scheduled warning on Round 15. This is the first time the Busch Clash has been driven on the road course .
Elliott has won the last four consecutive tournaments in the cup series, including the series’ first race on the 3.61-mile course.
