Charlyne Yi tries to stop ‘Disaster Artist’ due to James Franco allegations, accuses Seth Rogen of enabling him

Actress Charlyne Yi says she tried to end the 2017 film “The Disaster Artist” amid James Franco’s misconduct.

The actress took to Instagram over the weekend to reveal that she was trying to drop the film after Franco’s allegations of sexually predatory behavior made him uncomfortable working with him. The former ‘Freaks and Geeks’ actor was earlier caught in court for an underage girl and was accused in his former acting school of sexual misconduct with women, which he denies.

“When I tried to break legal contracts and terminate Disaster Artist because James Franco is a sexual predator, they tried to bribe me with a bigger role than acting,” Yi wrote in her post. ‘I cried and told them that it was the exact opposite of what I wanted, that I did not feel safe working with a sexual predator. They minimized and told Franco that he was a predator was so last year and that he was changing … when I literally heard that he was abusing new women that week. ‘

She continues: “Predators will exercise empathy, gaslight and say they will do better – all to protect themselves and continue to harm others. Switches are just as toxic and are also abusers. Disgusting by white men who may prefers to protect children from predators. ‘

The actress called out regular Franco collaborator Seth Rogen for ‘enabling’ him over the years.

“White men say it’s not their responsibility if they hold Franco accountable, or if they hold Seth Rogen and enablers accountable. Whose responsibility is it then? The women and children who have PTSD from Franco? Or the future targets of abuse? ? “

She further called on Rogen for appearing with Franco in a “Saturday Night Live” sketch with Franco in 2017, after presenting the popular sketch show, after apologizing for a message to a minor girl . She also noted that she told her story on ‘The Disaster Artist’ in light of the month of the sexual assault.

JAMES FRANCO accused of sexually abusing 5 women, grilled by SET MEYERS

Franco has been accused of misconduct several times in the past. In 2014, text conversations appeared in which he tried to get a 17-year-old girl to meet him at a hotel in New York City. Franco acknowledged the issue at the time and apologized during an appearance on “Live! With Kelly and Michael”, according to Entertainment Weekly. In 2018, however, the Los Angeles Times published an extensive exposition of the actor in which five women from his now-closed acting school, Studio 4, accused him of using it to facilitate sexual misconduct. Two of the women have filed lawsuits that are appropriate this year.
