ChargeFast MagSafe Battery Pack – MagSafe finally gets useful! [Video]

It looks like companies are finally starting to use MagSafe accessories, because Apple is definitely not that far off yet. This is the ChargeFast MagSafe battery pack. It is a 5000 mAh portable battery that can charge via MagSafe or with a cable. For $ 55 from ChargeFast, it’s a pretty comfortable accessory, and it works really well with my iPhone.

But we recently discovered that ChargeFast is not the original manufacturer, and you can get the same product significantly less on Amazon or AliExpress. But I can not talk about the buying experience for this battery from Amazon or AliExpress, because I did not.

What is included?

Included in the box, you get the battery itself and a short USB C cable. You can buy this battery in gray, blue or green. I think the blue model I bought looks very nice and would be very appropriate on a quiet blue iPhone 12 Pro. Since it’s a 5000 mAh battery, it’s on the thicker side. But it is definitely more manageable than holding it in your hand.

Load and work

I mainly use this battery pack on my iPhone 12 Pro Max, but it is compatible with every iPhone 12 model. It is also compatible with any Qi cordless charging phone. Of course, you are not going to get the MagSafe magnetization factor with every phone. But as long as your device is Qi-compatible, you should be able to use this battery pack without any problems. And for a good measure, I tested it with my Google Pixel 5. I had absolutely no problems with charging.

In terms of charging speed, this battery pack can do wirelessly up to 15 watts and 20 watts through a wired connection. And that’s a good thing for iPhone users, because it’s essentially the best the iPhone can do anyway. You have two ports to charge your phone and charge the battery itself. A USB type C and A port. Next to the I / O is an LED indicator that lets us know the battery status of the charger.

Magnetization and strength

The excitation power is quite good given the total leverage of this charger. The iPhone 12 Pro Max weighs about 230 grams, and this charger is about 190 grams. It is quite impressive to see how well it holds as it is over 70% of the weight of the phone itself. If you shake the phone lightly, you can not move it – at least not on my iPhone. In general, the magnetization is very reliable for daily use.
