With the offering of the Sony PlayStation 5 still scarce around the world, gamers in Tokyo have taken a recent chance to get their hands on the next-generation console.
Earlier this week, Akihabara’s Yodobashi Camera received a large amount of PS5s that caused chaos when they were released. As one of the largest electronics stores in Japan, sales were estimated at 300 first-and-first-ticket entries for the chance to buy a PS5. Because many people also join the frenzy, the Akihabara location of Yodobashi Camera was not required of customers to own their black credit card to buy the console.
The crowd that packed into the location started pushing and shoving and forcing boxes and staff back. Eventually, the local police were called and the sale was canceled due to the aggressive nature that broke out amid the state of emergency due to the Coronavirus issued by the Japanese government.

They canceled the sale because people were insane !! Pushed so hard, even the cash registers and staff went backwards. I have never seen such madness in Japan …
