ATLANTA – Jovita Moore, Channel 2, recovering from brain tumor surgery Friday morning.
Jovita’s surgery went well and doctors say she’s a model patient.

The operation took place a few days after doctors discovered two small masses in her brain.
Jovita underwent an MRI after noticing symptoms Monday afternoon. Just before he aired on Monday, Jovita told Justin Farmer on Channel 2 that she was not feeling well.
‘I was really worried about why I was suddenly forgetful, disoriented and just did not feel myself. “I feel like I’m in a fog and really want to get out of that fog,” Jovita said.
Later that evening as she walked through the parking lot of the grocery store, she realized that it was more than just not feeling well.
“It was a blessing in disguise that I almost went out when I entered Publix,” Jovita said. “I walked. I remember walking across the parking lot and feeling like I was not getting out the door. I was almost like walking in quicksand.”
A scan of her brain revealed two small masses.
“It’s important. It’s going to be a lot. “Two small crops are close together and they have to go,” said Jovita. “We then had to have a conversation about what it was and what it meant.”
Her neurosurgeon Dr. Edjah Nduom said he and his team were drawing up a plan of action.
‘I can tell you Jovita is optimistic, optimistic and feels surrounded by love. All of these things feed into the fact that someone is in a good place to recover. “People who are functioning very well at this time tend to do better,” said Nduom.
The recovery after the operation will take 8-10 weeks and we will keep you informed of her progress on Channel 2 Action News at WSBTV.com
‘I think it’s going to be home for at least a few weeks after the operation. “I’m not sure when I’m on the air again, but when I’m able I will be, ‘she said.
Jovita said she was overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from the community. She asked that the prayers continue as she began the next step of this struggle.
“I know we have good viewers. I know that the prayer warriors will be at work, ”Jovita said. “I just felt it was something I had to share. I did not just want to disappear from the sky for a few months, and I wanted people to know what was going on. I also want to feel that energy, that outpouring and that support. I know they’re going to bring it. ”
