Bill CosbyHis contributions to black culture can not be ignored just because his legacy is affected … that’s what Cedric The Entertainer believe anyway.
According to the comedian, Cosby has been THE role model for black people for so many years, paving the way for others to follow his lead – so it is impossible to ignore the positive impact he has had on the community.
Cedric mentions many examples of how the guy was once called ‘America’s Dad’, not only a pioneer in entertainment, but also in life … and even represents the contemporary powers Jay-Z and Tyler Perry should thank Cosby for their status.

Cedric’s remarks come after he shared a video series called “Black History in Comedy” – in which he provided props to comedians such as Bernie Mac, Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy with Cosby.
Ced makes it clear that his feelings have nothing to do with Cosby’s current situation – as you know, Cosby is currently in jail for a conviction for sexual assault and he does not strive for salvation.
The comedian seems to simply believe that the good should be taken along with the bad when it comes to Cosby, and he can compartmentalize.
Cosby’s has already responded to Cedric on Twitter and said … ‘I plan to do more as well. Thank you so much for feeling, knowing and keeping the legacy through your wonderful work. ‘
Cosby’s representative, Andrew Wyatt, tells TMZ … he has another not-so-humble message for Cedric, it’s that … “Cedric is a king of comedy, but I’m the original king of comedy. If I get out – I can “do not wait to show him how it was done.”
For sure, optimistic.
