CDC links listeria outbreak to certain types of cheese

NEW YORK (WABC) – A Listeria outbreak has infected people in New York and Connecticut.

According to the CDC, the diseases are linked to ‘fresh and soft cheese in queso style’.

No brand is mentioned.

The agency tells pregnant women and people over the age of 65 not to eat the cheese. Others need to be careful too.

There have also been cases in Maryland and Virginia.

Seven people were admitted to hospital.
