CDC Director, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, does not recommend the N95 masks to the general public

There is a lot of back and forth throughout the pandemic with doctors recommending wearing N95 masks, but dr. Rochelle Walensky, CDC director, recommends the general public. not to wear them.

“They are very difficult to inhale if you wear them properly,” Walensky said. “It’s very hard to bear when you wear it for long periods of time.”

The N95 masks are really designed for first responders.

You’ve probably seen people wear them. The five-layer masks have a foam nose strip that covers much of your face.

Dr. Walensky, as well as dr. Anthony Fauci, still says that people should wear a mask, but says that the general public does not have to wear the N95 one because it is uncomfortable and difficult to breathe.

They are afraid that people do not want to wear masks at all after having an N95.

“I spent a fair amount of time in an N95 mask. It’s hard to put up with it all day every day,” Walensky said. “And if you’re really thinking about how well people will wear it, I’m worried that if we suggest or require people to wear an N95, they will not always wear it.”

“The most important thing is that everyone should wear a mask,” Fauci said.

With the new COVID-19 variant, many people are wondering if you should wear two masks.

The CDC says you do not have to do this, but again, they recommend that you wear at least one.
