CD Project Red ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ class case

After its founders lost a staggering $ 1 billion dollars in falling share prices, CD Projekt Red now faces another challenge due to the well-rounded Cyberpunk 2077 launch: a class action lawsuit by investors.

The new lawsuit is the second in a series of potential lawsuits against the developer of video games led by investors in the company, alleging that CD Project Red misled them by releasing Cyberpunk 2077 and consequently suffered substantial damages, which violated federal laws. Shareholders are now inviting more people to join the lawsuit, which was filed earlier this week in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. The company itself made no official comment on the new lawsuit, except that it said: “The company will act vigorously to defend itself against such claims.” Meanwhile, the developer is also working hard to update the game to a more playable state on all platforms and have it re-listed in the PlayStation Store.

Elsewhere in games, Apex Legends launches its 16th legend for the upcoming eighth season.
