Cat attacks pilot on flight to Qatar, forcing plane to return to airport

Violating an aircraft’s cockpit is definitely a malicious offense.

A flight from the capital of Khartoum, Sudan, had to return to the airport last week after a cat allegedly attacked the pilot of the plane.

The flight, operated by Tarco Aviation, was on its way to Doha, the capital of Qatar, when the incident took place, reports Sudan’s Al-Sudani news. A source of the exhaust valve claims that the plane was in the air for about 90 minutes before being forced to return to Khartoum International Airport.

The plane returned safely, but the severity of the pilot’s injuries is unclear. A representative of Tarco Aviation did not immediately return a request for additional information.

Meanwhile, the cat is believed to have “penetrated” the plane the night before the flight, when the plane was standing in a hangar to clean up, Al-Sudani reported.

It is believed that the cat 'penetrated' the plane the night before, when the plane was cleaned.

Oddly enough, this is not the first time a cat has tried to hide away on a commercial flight. In 2019, security workers on the Isle of Man discovered a cat of a couple in their luggage – completely unaware of the couple.

“We were completely shocked,” the cat’s owner told The Independent at the time. “She must have snuck into the bag before we left for the airport, but we did not hear or feel her at all on the trip there.”
