Carson Wentz finally breaks his silence.
We have not heard of the now directly before-former Eagles quarter (apart from a Twitter ad) since his post-match press conference after getting Bank Jalen Hurts bench in Week 13. It was on December 6th.
On Friday night, more than 24 hours after the news of him being traded to the Indianapolis Colts, Wentz used his official Instagram account to say goodbye to Philadelphia.
As expected, nothing particularly juicy here. No notable omissions, no explanations as to why he wants it. Pretty standard professional farewell message.
Here is the Bible verse that Wentz referred to if you were curious:
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, we must throw away everything that hinders and the sin that is so easily entangled. And let us run with perseverance that the race is set out for us, and draw our attention to Jesus, the pioneer and perfector of the faith. Because of the joy he felt, he endured the cross and despised its shame and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Miles Sanders, Dallas Goedert, Avonte Maddox, Boston Scott, Nathan Gerry and Kamu Grugier-Hill were among former teammates who commented on his post.

It looks like Wentz is already pretty lucky to be joining the Colts.
The #Kolts players are fueled to have Carson Wentz as their QB. Whether it’s Kenny Moore who reached out to him yesterday or that Wentz himself is reaching out to players like Julian Blackmon today, they’m ready to go to work.
