Capcom unveils the first screenshot in the game of Oro in Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition Season 5

Earlier this morning, Capcom unveiled the first screenshot for Oro in Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition Season 5. Oro is currently being released in the summer of 2021, following Rose who will be released in the spring of 2021.

On the screenshot, Oro’s mustard yellow complexion is clearly visible on his wrinkled forehead. His eyes also radiate a red glow. If we did not already know who Oro was, we would probably think that Oro is a villainous character based on the red eyes.

Oro is expected to play a kind of theme that allows him to balance a turtle with one hand. In Street Fighter 3, Oro was known for tying with one hand as a way to hold back. Instead, he grabs a turtle in Street Fighter 5 and balances it.

Of course, we’ve already seen how Oro will briefly swing the turtle when Tengu Stone is activated. Based on the sound effects played during the Oro preview played towards the end of the Winter Update stream, we believe Tengu Stone is one of Oro’s V-Triggers.

Remarkably, the turtle in question sits on top of Oro’s head in Capcom’s new screenshot. All we can see of the turtle, of course, are the paws. Since Oro is supposed to hold the turtle during the game, it looks like it could be Oro’s introductory animation in Street Fighter 5.

Unfortunately, the screenshot was cut off at Oro’s mouth. However, it makes it clear that Oro has a giant nose and extraordinarily large ears. It makes sense when he considers that he is a 140-year-old hermit and that the ears and nose are the only parts of the human body that never stop growing.

More information on Oro (and Rose) is expected to be released during the Spring Update stream that airs tomorrow, April 6th. As always, we will provide coverage as the news drops tomorrow.
