According to the prosecutor’s office, the teenager is not charged as an adult. However, she was designated as an adult.

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy added: ‘The fatal stabbing of Mrs. Mosby is very sad and upset. Mosby was a nurse who raised her granddaughter. Our prayers go out to her son and family. In this case, the 14-year-old girl is designated as an adult because it gives the debtor the most flexibility during sentencing to provide options for rehabilitation of this very troubled youth. ‘

According to police, Mosby’s body was found by her son, the father of the suspect. When he found Mosby in the Canton home, his daughter was not there.

Officers were led to a bedroom in the home where the body of the victim was pointed down on the floor with multiple stab wounds.
