A young footballer seen in a heated conversation with Cam Newton has issued an apology on social media after the spit between the two went viral.
Jseth Owens posted the long apology on Twitter when the video took to social media on Sunday and early Monday.
“First and foremost, I would like to extend my sincere apologies to Cam Newton, my entire organization and my coaches for my performance during the 7v7 tournament this past weekend. I did not intend for it to go as far as it did. no! First, I want to start with my saying that my parents never taught me people [sic] disrespectful.

“As a footballer, I let my competitive team get the best of me, and it was a great miscommunication. It was in the middle of the moment and I now realize how many of you consider it contempt. I was never intending to humiliate does not let anyone down.I am very appreciative of 7v7 to even exclude myself from the team I am currently in.I realize that this could be my future as a young man with very big dreams / goals determined, but I will not let it stop me getting where I need to be.
“Again, I apologize and hope I can be forgiven.”
The campaigner seems to be the quarterback over the fact that he was a ‘free agent’, while Newton did not make things better when he responded with ‘I’m rich’. Newton was also heard asking if he could talk to the child’s father.

Both parties have been criticized for making the video a popular topic. The New England Patriots quarterback released a video and a long Instagram message to critics.
“What you did not see,” he wrote on social media. ‘I see there are a lot of things happening this weekend that I see happening. To the natural eye, you see me asking the young man, ‘Where is your father? ‘But for me, it’s not good for me to talk to a child with everyone watching! Instead of talking to a child back and forth, I want to have a man-to-man conversation with his father.
That being said, when I attend tournaments across the country with my All-Star team, I have given my time, my energy and my expertise to these kids who have been in our program for over 11 years, and it is not what people do not do. want to hear or even want to see. People want to see me argue with another young man and to see me ‘get into my feelings.’ But the truth is this: I influence the lives of children in a positive way. Make no mistake about it. I make kids realize there’s an ‘out’ by using their soccer talents to take them to the next level and in most cases out of the hood!

In the video, Newton told the camper that there is ‘no disrespect’ and that if he wants attention, he will give some attention “in the right way”.
