Camera at the Congress to express “clarity” about status alternatives

The Chamber of Representatives approved this March, with a vote of 28 in favor and 11 against, the number 1 Competition Resolution presented to the Delegation of the Popular Democratic Party (PPD) to denounce, before the United States Congress and the World, “The menoscope of the democratic rights of the poor”.

“We will present and replace the Congress of the United States of America that expresses itself clearly and promptly, regarding the alternatives that are available to consider in order to extend the political relationship between Puerto Rico and the United States of America. It is imperative that, in its expression, it promotes and designs a win-win, participatory and inclusive process in all sectors that meet the formal distinctions of status ”, said the President of the Chamber, Rafael Hernández in his speech.

The resolution, which received the vote in favor of the delegations of the Puerto Rican Independent Party (PIP) and the Victoria Ciudadana Movement (MVC), also denounced the violation of the provisions of the Ley 600 and the Constitution of the Puerto Free State Association.

Popular legislators inform that a written copy of the Competition Resolution will be submitted to Congress, a Presidential Secretary-General of the United Nations (UNU).
