The result of the Cambrian policy recorded a positive balance for the national world this year, marked by the negative impact of the coronavirus pandemic and the deaths of Eta and Iota hurricanes in the national economy.

Without embarrassment, the final figure of the reference exchange type contrasts with the projections of various sectors. The BCH’s macroeconomic analyst survey from November last year indicates that the nominal exchange rate will be 1.28%.

However, the global economic crisis caused by the pandemic allowed the variability of the variable principals involved in the change; among them, the balance of net international reserves, which on December 24 of the previous year amounted to 8,123.8 million dollars, equivalent to 8.8 months of imports of goods and services.

Following an analysis by the BCH, other factors that contribute to the appreciation of lempira are the behavior of the types of change of the main commercial societies of Honduras, as well as the inflation rate.
