Secrets have long been part of the Call of Duty Zombies formula. But although players liked to hunt for Easter eggs to reveal new pieces of information, according to Black Ops Cold War developer Treyarch, very few players find these secrets in the game. So Treyarch has decided to find the secrets easier for his latest attack on zombies.
In an interview with IGN India, Corky Lehmkuhl, the Studio Creative Director at Treyarch, said that although “so much development time goes into” Easter eggs, less than two percent of players found and unlocked the secrets the studio hid in its various zombie levels. So Treyarch decides that in Cold War’s Season 2 will make Easter eggs more “accessible” to allow more players to experience all the new zombie modes.
Since the first versions of the popular zombie game mode in the Call of Duty franchise, the modes became known for their hard-to-find, strange, and intricate secrets. As the series progressed, these Easter eggs became one of the most important ways Call of Duty developers like Treyarch have moved the story forward as they build on the universe of the universe. This led to a situation where most players could not experience these new narratives because they could not find the Easter eggs or were not skilled enough to pick them up.
The change means no secrets; Lehmkuhl said: “There are some side Easter eggs that are still a bit unclear, and you will have to find them, but for the main quest we just wanted more players to experience it.”

Meanwhile, it Call of Duty zombies keep growing. The recently added outbreak, the latest CoD mode with the dead in the lead role, is a massive mode with old world maps, interconnected areas and different objectives. And I expect more zombies and Easter eggs in the next seasons of Call of Duty.
