While fans still want to know why Dr Disrespect is banned at Twitch, a theory from Call of Duty’s Ghost actor is rapidly picking up steam.
Dr. disrespect Twitch a ban took place in June last year, and although the discussion about the sudden removal of the channel from the streamer is a bit dead, to this day many people are asking for answers. As such, gamers have taken note of a Call of Duty voice actor’s recent comments on the Twitch ban.
There were several theories about Dr. Disrespect’s ban, ranging from legal issues and criminal activities to wild suggestions that he would launch a new streaming platform with Ninja and Shroud. While these rumors have obviously not surfaced, fans still have no idea what really happened, with the information likely to be kept secret by Twitch in the foreseeable future. The possibility was discussed during a video on the YouTube channel DanAllenGaming. Known for interviews with Call of Duty members of the cast, this latest content was no different, as Dan Allen sat down with Jeff Leach – the voice actor for Ghost. Although the actor talks about his role as the favorite member of the Task Force 141 in much of the interview, the couple mainly talk about the ban of Dr. Disrespect. Here, Leach cites rumors he has heard of ‘people working at Twitch’. According to Leach, the reason for the ban amounts to money.
Apparently, Dr Disrespect is using an offer from Mixer as leverage during the renegotiation of his Twitch contract, something that frustrated the company. When Mixer announced its strike only a week after these discussions began, Twitch found out that Disrespect was probably lying about Mixer’s offers. While the possibility exists that the offer was legal, it makes little sense for a dying company to offer a giant-new deal to a star. Either way, the issues were presumably caused by either a failed attempt at fraud or a risky negotiation tactic, and Twitch cut all ties in response and refused to forward dr. Dealing with disrespect.
It is noteworthy that the voice actor states several times that he can not be sure that the information is true, although he believes that it is accurate. Given how much money the Doc has already cost Twitch, the decision would make sense, especially if it were to go down as Leach describes. Since Twitch is already having issues with Dr. Disrespect and its E3 bathroom streams, the platform may have seen it as a smart business decision to go ahead while taking the chance.
Strikingly, Dr Disrespect alluded to the fact that the case was also money-related, although he believes Twitch replaced him with cheaper talent. Regardless, both Twitch and Dr. Disrespect seem to be doing well right now, and fans who need to shut down may view this theory as a potential truth.
