In the wake of the continuing increase in COVID-19 cases, California has issued a new public health order that maximizes the resilience capacity for all state hospitals. This would require all hospitals in California to accept patients from hospitals in crisis care.
Hospitals with a place for surgical patients must accept a request for the transfer of patients from one health clinic within 60 minutes after the formal request has been submitted. the order of 5 January reads.
“Immediate action is needed to conserve resources, to prevent the need for crisis standards from being accepted and to ensure that hospitals can continue to care for critically ill Californians suffering from COVID-19, as well as other life-threatening conditions.” Public health official Tomás Aragón wrote.

This is because more than half of California hospitals have reportedly asked for forgiveness for help with staff shortages and increasing patients, caused by COVID-19 outbreaks, Aragón says.
The new public health order seeks to provide care through all hospitals so that patients with COVID-19 diseases and other conditions can access care.
Though January 6, more than 11,000 new cases have been reported. Both hospitalizations and deaths gradually increased. Hospitals and medical professions have expressed concern about the increase in cases related to recent holiday events.
“I am very concerned that we are going to see an increase in the number of hospitalizations and deaths associated with the event that took place during the holidays,” said Rais Vohra, interim health officer of the Fresno County Department of Public Health. said KTLA.
