California expects nearly 90% drop in COVID-19 vaccines Johnson & Johnson next week

BERKELEY, CALIFORNIA (CGO) – At a time when we need more vaccines, California is on the verge of seeing a huge drop in Johnson & Johnson doses – not just a few hundred or even a few thousand doses, we’re talking an almost 90% drop.

We will also see an 85% drop in the dose of Johnson & Johnson vaccine nationwide. Instead of the nearly 5 million doses the government sent this week, the government will send out only 785,500 next week.

Johnson & Johnson said last week that one of their groups did not meet their standards. According to the New York Times, workers mixed ingredients and destroyed 15 million doses.

If you try to make appointments next week when you are eligible and have problems, this may explain why. Demand will increase as supply declines.

The governor did say that it could take up to a month to get the vaccine for all eligible Californians.
