Caitlyn Jenner announced Sunday that she will “soon” decide whether to throw her hat in the ring for California’s unoccupied governor, Gavin Newsom.
The Olympic and reality TV star speculated over the weekend about a potential campaign launched on Twitter after Axios reported that she was coordinating with longtime GOP fundraiser Caroline Wren, who had ties to former President Donald Trump’s 2020 -campaign.
On Sunday, however, Jenner denied a tweet suggesting she was seriously considering taking a turn in the Golden State, where an attempt to recall Gavin Newsom’s government is well underway.

“#FakeNews shows me the contracts,” she wrote.
Jenner said California does not want a #lgbt fiscal conservative and socially liberal candidate who is candidate. ‘
But, she continued, “I’m with Californians and will decide soon. I’ve been here 45+ years and love CA.”
Jenner, 71, has reportedly considered running for public office.
Rumors of Jenner’s political ambitions resurfaced after Government Newsom’s recall attempt reached more than 2.1 million signatures in March, despite needing just 1.5 million for a recall vote on this year’s ballot.
Several other candidates have already announced their candidacy to oust the Democratic governor. Businessman John Cox, former San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer, former Congressman Doug Ose and porn star Mary Carey have reportedly guarded a turnaround in the recall campaign.
California has a low bar to enter a by-election. A candidate has to pay about $ 4,000, which can attract serious candidates and others who may be seeking fame, reports say.

The provincial election officials will reportedly determine whether proponents of repeal have submitted the necessary number of signatures to cause an election within a number of weeks.
