Busy Philipps made a big revelation about one of her children.
Alumnus “Dawson’s Creek” talked about her 12-year-old child Birdie in an episode of her “Busy Philipps Doing Her Best” podcast, saying Birdie is gay.
“For those of you who are my friends who listen at home, this is the first time you hear that Birdie is gay and not,” says Philipps, 41, per Just Jared. “Birdie told us at the age of 10 and we immediately … I mean of course I knew Birdie knew.”
The star shares both Birdie and her daughter Cricket Pearl (7) with her husband, filmmaker Marc Silverstein.

She continued: ‘Because Birdie said they want their pronouns to be theirs, and I did not, and I said because I have this public persona, and I want Birdie to be in charge of their own story and do not have to answer to anyone outside our friends and family if they do not want to. ‘
Young bird had no qualms about her mother sharing the information.

“Bird was like, ‘I’m not giving a fuck. You can talk about how gay I am and out there; you can talk about my pronouns. That would be cool with me. It’s great,'” Philipps explained. So I said, ‘OK, I can talk about it in the podcast. ‘
