Business leaders, including JPMorgan’s Jamie Dimon and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, condemn the rioters at the US Capitol: ‘These are domestic terrorists’

  • Business leaders also spoke out against the attack.
  • Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian described the rioters as ‘domestic terrorists’. JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon said in a statement that he strongly condemned Wednesday’s violence, saying “We are better than that.”
  • Jay Timmons, president and CEO of the National Association of Manufacturers, issued a severe reprimand from President Donald Trump and the rioters. He called on Vice President Mike Pence and the cabinet to call for the 25th amendment to remove Trump from office.

Ulta Beauty is advertising while pursuing a piece of the $ 17 billion e-commerce advertising business

  • In other news, I reported that Ulta Beauty, according to two direct-to-consumer advertising buyers, is rolling out an advertising arm to sell ads on its own platform, publishing sites, and social networks.
  • The beauty retailer joins Walgreens, CVS, Target and Walmart betting on advertising as a way to compensate for shrinking retail margins.
  • In addition to selling ads on its own properties, Ulta Beauty is partnering with Epsilon to place co-branded programmatic ads on Facebook, YouTube and ad networks.
