Before the weekend of the BlizzCon game announcement frenzy, two of Blizzard’s secrets leaked in the form of a leak. Both turn around World of Warcraft: one for the latest Shadowlands expansion, and another for the World of Warcraft Classic server option.

In the latter case, 2007 is very popular Sjoe expansion package, The burning crusade, will to the WoW Classic option within the Blizzard Launcher starting sometime in “2021”. The news comes from an apparent leak of official BlizzCon press release material, all formatted with official images and descriptions of what’s coming, as found on Blizzard’s official servers by Reddit’s users Sjoe community.

As with the official of 2019 Sjoe vanilla launch, The burning crusade will return without any new or special features over and above what originally came with the game. You may recall that this expansion pack contained a few drops of content, while Blizzard maintained it before it sold Wrath of the Lich King in 2008. Meanwhile, Blizzard’s leaked document claims that the original version’s update cadences will return again: “Content from the original game will roll out in phases, at a cadence for the WoW Classic community. Prepare for the opening of the Black Temple, get ready to confront the gods of Zul’Aman, and gather your allies to face the wrath of the Sunwell. ‘

Since the quality of life (QoL) changes are not mentioned in the document, you will probably have to make peace with the original peculiarities of the expansion, although this is reinforced by a better balance between the Horde and Alliance thanks to the Blood Elf and Draenei breeds that just appear in this extension. If this is exactly where you want it Sjoe memories to live through via an official Blizzard server, then you’re in heaven – especially since it’s a free update for anyone already paying for a Sjoe subscription. Meanwhile, if you really to keep things vanilla, you have the option to keep your hold WoW Classic characters back to stay in a world that does not know the kiss of the Abroad. (If you need help making the decision, you can check out Ars’ 2007 review of TBC.)

Offer both options on official Sjoe servers are a good indication of Blizzard’s commitment to reviving the old Sjoe days, but we have to imagine the nostalgia WoW Classic players can run out with this expansion. Our reports on fans getting older Sjoe versions that came back to life on private servers, on which Blizzard fought back, certainly never had the Lich king or Disaster speed periods.

The others lick in nature because Shadowlands‘upcoming update’ Chains of Domination ‘has also taken the form of a leaked press release from Blizzard, which outlines WoWHead with many images and descriptions of what’s to come. Fans playing the latest expansion can expect at least one new raid and mega-dungeon at some point, along with more of the usual expansion patchwork. This leak did not include a release date, but we’m not sure if that means we should expect a stealth drop when the update is announced tomorrow.
