Bungie is processing some of the older Exotics with Season of the Chosen.

According to the developer, the team plans to “shake up” the Aeon suite from Exotics in Destiny 2.

For starters, the Aeon Cult Exotic armor pieces will have their own unique mod sock and mods. These are unlocked as soon as you obtain the Exotic, and each is linked to one of the different Aeon Cult roles.

The mods are identical in the Exotics for all three classes.

Each of these mods has one benefit that will focus on the user and one on allies. The second benefit contains an ‘extra benefit’ for everyone in the team who did not choose the same role.

The three Aeon Cult mods and their associated mechanics are as follows:

Season 13, or Season of the Chosen, as it is called, begins on February 9 with the weekly recovery on all platforms and lasts until May 11th.

The story focuses on the Cabal while Empress Caiatl seeks to forge an alliance with humanity. But it does not work, and a war breaks out with the Last City.

In Season 13, Battlegrounds is also introduced. It’s the return of two classic Strikes, a new Strike called Proving Grounds, new equipment, more than 25 weapons, and the Praefectus armor set and Ticuu’s Divination Exotic bow.
