The Chicago Bulls have become a very interesting team to watch in the Eastern Conference. After years of struggling, Billy Donovan, Zach LaVine and the Bulls are back in the playoffs. Now the Bulls are mentioned in potential trade rumors, and Bradley Beal is a name that has come up.
Granted, the source of the proposal is the Pippen website is not easy, and it is certainly not a report of interest. However, it is mentioned that Beal could be a trading target for the Bulls. There is no doubt that the Bulls have the kind of young talent to pull something for Beal.
Beal would be an ideal running mate to play with LaVine. He would shoot an elite and score points. Those things can help take the pressure off LaVine and keep opposing defenses honest.
To do anything with the Washington Wizards for Beal, the Bulls will likely have to offer a deal, including Wendell Carter Jr. of Lauri Markkanen. This should not stop the Bulls from trading. Beal is a talent that will be worth one or two guys or both.
So far this season with the Wizards in 28 games, Beal has averaged 32.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game. He shot 48.1 percent off the floor overall, dropping 33.3 percent of his three-point attempts.
These numbers show why the Bulls should strongly consider trying to oust Bradley Beal. He would be the exact addition that would bring Chicago back to a serious playoff game.
The only problem is the fact that the Wizards did not trade the idea of Beal. Even if they do, almost every team in the NBA will be interested in trying to catch him. Although the Bulls have a lot of intriguing trade chips, that may not be enough.
Expect to continue to hear a bunch of rumors about Bradley Beal as the deadline approaches. The Bulls may not be a serious contender for him, but they should definitely try.
